I designed the look and feel of this book to commemorate my daughter's 2 years in her Soccer league as a goalie. Most of the photography was done when she was actually playing games.
This graphic narrative is an ongoing project of mine. It will be a comic book accomplished by using photography, Photoshop and Illustrator. Nothing will be hand drawn except for the storyboards.
I worked on this travel photo journal for approximately 3 months. I designed all its content, and it includes pictures taken during a 2 week trip across England and Scotland.
I took a full year to design this book, from the early ideas to the final hardcover book. I did everything... all the pictures, the storyboards, the story, the compositing and the overall book design.
I designed these full page ads appearing in the EDGE magazine (UK version) for Actionpants Inc. The character was originally designed by R' John Bernales.
Basketball abstract graphics done in Photoshop, Illustrator and later animated in After Effects. This was used during the game loading/practice room on giant panels.
The final result features hundreds of sport icons in the back of each panel. The giant panels are on display at Electronic Arts in Burnaby, BC, Canada.
My idea for this 2.5 second bumper was to transition from an old TV screen to an HD set. I also created the Photoshop storyboard mocks and the After Effects renders. This was used on EA's sport titles.
I was asked to reinvent these basketball icons for NBA Live. After numerous hours of sketching, I completed the final images in Illustrator. They appear on the back cover of the game.
Nicolas Lajeunesse is a conceptual graphic designer. He is currently working for UBISOFT Vancouver as an interface designer and concept artist for a sport game. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with gaming and movie industry professionals, and was able to accomplish numerous print, web, compositing, animation and video editing tasks. He uses mostly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Sony Vegas. He has a passion for visuals, composition, and an eye for layout and photography.
